As I mentioned in my note, I’m sure that my conclusions will match Sullivan’s. That being the case, if you’ve already asked him about these clues, you probably won’t learn anything new here.

I’ve noticed something after piecing together a few of the lines. Unless you read things in the correct order, it isn’t going to make much sense.

What I’ve found is that there is a number written beside each line. The line with a “1” in it is first, the line with a “2” is second, etc. If you read things in that order, it should start to make more sense.

It took four different folds, but I was finally able to read all of the lines and organize them according to the numbers in each one (from 1 – 4). Here’s what the message says:

“When finished with your target, meet us in the HQ. The symbols will tell you where to go. Red letters  here are for skull symboIs.”

Somehow, I doubt that this message was meant for Dave to read. Do you think the letter writer accidentally included it?

Either way, this should be able to help us read the skull symbols on the crumpled note in your case file.

I haven’t quite yet figured out how to read the note, but I’m making some progress. The first two words are:

“OK, newbie.”

Have you noticed the message on the front of the ad which says, “Do you ever feel like sometimes you move forward, only to be knocked 3 steps back?” I wonder if that’s giving us some kind of hint about how the message was put together. If so, it’s possible that each letter in the original message was shifted forward in the alphabet. To decode it, we’ll have to shift the letters back.

After playing with this a little more, I realized that the message about being “knocked 3 steps back” is telling us to move each letter back 3 places in the alphabet. After I did that, I got this message:

“OK, newbie. If you want to join us, prove  yourself. Find a person to scam, make them pass out, and leave a ‘bite.’ We’ll give you a letter to leave them, too. Once they pay, you’re in. For our HQ, the blue  letters here are hearts. They are not coded.”

Huh, that’s weird. This sounds like some kind of an initiation program for con artists, doesn’t it?

Even though there’s no doubt that this is a scam now (although, I kind of already knew that), from what Sullivan has said about Dave, I doubt this will be enough to ease his mind. Like it or not, I think the guy is still going to want his “werewolf antidote.”

If nothing else, this should at least help you read the heart symbols on the crumpled note in your case file. With any luck, that will bring you another step closer to finding the antidote.

After a little trial-and-error, I’ve figured out what each of the letters in the groupings stand for:

“M” stands for “movie.”

“L” stands for “line.”

“W” stands for “word.”

With that in mind, we should be able to use the symbols to narrow down which word each grouping is telling us to look at. Once we’ve found each of the words, I think it should give us some kind of message.

I was right – each grouping is telling us to look at a specific word on the poster. Here’s how it works:

Because the reaper symbol is beside Night of the Living Dead, we need to look at the description for the movie. Then, since the roof symbol is next to the 4th line of the description, we’ll use that line. Finally, “W3” is telling us to look at the 3rd word in the designated line, which is “to.”

After I followed that pattern for each set, I got the message:

“To meet up with us, green  letters here are teeth.”

Now we’re really getting somewhere! This should help us fill in the teeth symbols on the crumpled note in your case file.

It’s slow, but I’m making some progress with this.

The most important thing that I’ve found is that you have to pay attention to the direction the wolf is facing inside of each moon on the calendar. Since the wolf on the zipper pull matches the wolf in the moon, you have to arrange the zipper pull so that its wolf faces the same direction as the wolf in the applicable section’s moon.

Once the pull is positioned correctly, you’ll want to look at the message to the right of the applicable moon. Each symbol in the message tells us which 3-letter word on the zipper pull to look at. The symbol’s color tells us which letter in that 3-letter word to look at.

If you write the correct letter above each symbol, it should spell out a message for us.

I think I’ve got it!

When we arrange the zipper pull correctly in each section so that its wolf faces in the same direction as the wolf on that section’s moon, everything else starts to fall into place. Once the zipper pull is facing the correct direction, the symbols in that section tell us which 3-letter word to look at on the zipper pull. Each symbol’s color tells us which letter in the applicable 3-letter word to use in the message.

After doing that for each symbol, I was able to put together the following message:

“If you join us, you will make enough to pay  for school. For our HQ, use underlined  letters on the back as cats.”

All right! We’re so close that I can almost taste this antidote! This should help you replace the cat symbols on the crumpled note in your case file. Once you’ve replaced all of the symbols, I’m pretty sure that the note should tell you where these con artists are hiding out with their “werewolf antidote.”
