As I mentioned in my note, I’m sure that my conclusions will match Sullivan’s. That being the case, if you’ve already asked him about these clues, you probably won’t learn anything new here.

I think Sullivan is right – there’s got to be a connection between the list of supplies on the postcard and the drawings on the Welcome sheet.

Do you think the supplies’ quantity is telling us to look at a letter or something in the lines beside the drawings?

I got it. The number beside the supplies on the postcard is telling us which word to look at on the Welcome sheet. For example, “3 Tentacles” means we need to look at the 3rd word beside the tentacle drawing, which is “big.”

If you do that for all of the supplies, the message says:

“Big King and Strong King face each other.”

I’m not sure how that’s going to help Sullivan find Jack, but you might want to write it down anyway. Hopefully, after you’ve worked through Clues 1-3, you’ll be able to start narrowing down which kingdom Jack is in.

So far, I’ve been able to translate the first three words. They say: “Old King and.”

I know it doesn’t seem like much – I’m having some trouble with this one, too – but I hope this is enough to help you start translating the rest of the symbols.

Good news! I finally finished translating the message! Here’s what it says:

“Old King and New King rule kingdoms as far apart as possible.”

I can’t believe we’re having to rely on vague information about pretend kings and their pretend kingdoms in order to find a missing person, can you? I guess it’s not like we have any other leads, though. For now, it’s probably a good idea to write this message down. Hopefully, after you’ve worked through Clues 1-3, you’ll be able to start narrowing down which kingdom Jack is in.

So far, I’ve been able to track the pictures down. The devil is on Major Tom’s Commendation, and the infinity symbol is on Clue 1’s postcard.

Now, we just need to figure out what to do with these pictures. Do you think we need to put them beside their opposites like the sign mentions? You could try folding the sign to put the moon beside the sun, the devil beside the angel, and the infinity symbol beside the clock. I don’t know if it will actually spell anything out, but it’s worth a shot!

I got it! Once the pictures are arranged, the trick is to read the letters like this:

When you do, the message says:

“Good King rules Forest.”

All right! This is still random information about a make-believe king, but at least it’s a little more specific than the rest of the information has been.

Take a look at everything we’ve learned from Clues 1-3. Once you’ve compiled everything, I’m pretty sure you should have enough information to use Clue 4’s map to figure out which kingdom Jack is in.

I’m pretty sure that the only way we’re going to be able to use the map to figure out which kingdom Jack is in is if we look at everything we’ve learned from Clues 1-3 first.

Since we know that neither Old King nor New King rule the Forest Kingdom, I think it’s safe to assume that one rules the Desert Kingdom and the other rules the Sun Kingdom. (I’m kind of starting to get into Dark World’s story now!)

With that in mind, take another look at what we’ve learned from Clues 1-3 to see if any of the other information can help you to further narrow down which kingdom Evil King and Jack are in.

I don’t think the investigation is going to be over when we figure out which kingdom Sullivan needs to check. In fact, I think there’s still a lot more work that needs to be done once Sullivan’s checked the kingdom out.

Here’s everything we’ve learned from Clues 1-3.

Clue 1 – Big King and Strong King face each other.

Clue 2 – Old King and New King rule kingdoms as far apart as possible.

Clue 3 – Good King rules the Forest Kingdom.

Like I said before, since Good King rules the Forest Kingdom, that means Old King and New King rule the Desert and Sun Kingdoms. If we eliminate those as possibilities, we should be able to use the rest of the information to narrow down the search to a single kingdom. Once you’ve eliminated 5 of the 6 kingdoms, the remaining one will be where Evil King rules. According to the map, that’s where Jack should be.

I figured it out! I know which kingdom Sullivan needs to search!

Since we were able to eliminate the Forest, Sun, and Desert kingdoms, I took another look at everything we’ve learned and realized something else. Clue 1 said that Big King and Strong King face each other, right? The only remaining unknown kingdoms that actually face one another are the Cursed Kingdom and the Steel Kingdom.

That means Evil King must rule the Forgotten Kingdom! According to the message on the map, that means Jack should be somewhere there, too!

When you want to tell him to search the Forgotten Kingdom, be sure to include the word Location in the body of your email so that he knows what you’re talking about.

I have the distinct feeling that the investigation isn’t over yet. Once you let Sullivan know that he needs to look at the Forgotten Kingdom a little closer, I bet he’ll find something else you can check out to help narrow down the search even further.
